The three carp and coarse fishing lakes, extending over more than 8 acres of water, are set in 15 acres of carefully landscaped grounds that form part of a much larger farm. You will experience the quality of sport on offer and the wide range of facilities available in a beautiful setting and yet so close to the A1.
NEW: We have just been awarded the Gold Standard by the Fisheries Accreditation Scheme. The Scheme is based upon a set of standards that is designed to sustain the welfare of fish within fisheries.

For more information see:
- Bowes Lake - almost 3 acres of carp fishing
- Lookout Lake - over 4½ acres of mixed coarse fishing
- Bassett's Pond - about 1/3 acre of coarse fishing - very sheltered pond which is great for windy days
Designed with anglers in mind, islands and underwater features were formed to provide fish-holding areas and the lakes landscaped using thousands of lilies, reeds, aquatic plants to provide fish sanctuaries Wildflowers, trees, hedging and shrubs provide both attractive features and wildlife sanctuaries in this extremely pretty part of Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.
Great care has also been taken to ensure that the water quality in our fisheries is kept optimum. The intense aquatic planting allows shelter for the fish but these aquatic plants will need time to mature so please take care on the bankside and do not damage them. They are essential for the habitat and aquaculture providing the fish with ample areas of cover, spawning sites and rich feeding. We aim to keep it that way - our policy of safeguarding fish health is your assurance of good sport, no matter what species you catch.
Training is provided by set courses on set days all year. We can also offer one to one tuition. All tuition and courses must be pre-booked for both the novice and experienced angler to help you to get the best out of your visits.
