Fishing Activities at Angel of the North Fishing Lakes
NEW Angel of the North Fishing Lakes Bonanza Fun Fishing Taster Sessions Saturday May 27th - Sunday June 4th. Read more about it or contact us to book a place - but hurry - places are limited.
Unlike most sports, which rely on special skills, anyone can fish. Neither is it seasonal – you can fish all year round. Each season is different: carp, tench and bream are usually easier to catch in summer, whereas in autumn fishing for roach and perch may be at its best.
Angling is for all, young and old, male and female, the able and the disabled. Age or skill is no barrier to angling - the Angel of the North Lakes has a novice lake for beginners and will be able to arrange tuition. Great care has been taken to provide facilities for disabled fishers.
Angling is not limited by numbers – you can fish alone, with friends or in an organised group. If you wish to be part of a group then perhaps consider becoming a member of Angel of the North Fishing Lakes (more information coming soon!).
Angling takes you to the countryside and the magical world of nature. Visitors to the Angel of the North Fishing Lakes will be encouraged to participate in the conservation programmes, for example by reporting sightings of voles.
At Angel of the North Fishing Lakes we support the following types of fishing:
