Novice Fishing
Novice Fishing at Angel of the North Fishing Lakes
Angel of the North Fishing Lakes is keen to support and encourage new anglers of all ages and abilities, and has provided a small training lake specifically for this purpose. Bassett's Pond is the smallest of the three lakes and will provide an excellent learning environment for those new to fishing.
Training for new and experienced anglers will be available on site, for both individuals and groups. More information can be found under Angling Training.
Please note beginners, sea or game anglers will be required to have coaching
sessions to bring their skills to a competent level (to protect our Fish
Livestock) before they are allowed to fish at Angel Lakes.
Balanced quality tackle including end tackle is required on Angel Lakes.
All under 16's must be accompanied by an adult. Please also note the fishing rules and regulations.
At Angel of the North Fishing Lakes we also support Coarse Fishing, Match Fishing, Open Match , Night Fishing and Disabled Fishing.
