Match comments: Happy New Year and Tight Lines for 2010 Well its 5 weekends we have missed matches through being frozen!!! We are just starting to de-frost at this moment we do not know if it will be totally ice free for this week-ends matches Please ring 0191 4100449 or Anns mobile 07867 557974 to see what the state of the lakes are with ice if you want to fish a match. At this moment it is very unsure! I am sorry about this, but the ice was very thick in places and the rain, sleet, snow then below zero nights coldest recorded -12 deg componded the thickness which was recorded as 12 inches in the thickest places and averaged 9 inches all over. Water tests are good, and I can tell you Arty and I have had a whale of a time like being retired, only zero income! We also have the fatest Robins who have happily eaten all the maggots we have not been able to sell over this period! Keeping positive this is going to be a great year!! Ricky fished Lookout yesterday for a couple of hours to see whats working, and its pole 11 metres out dead depth and just over depth on white maggot and fed 6 maggots a time and he caught well, all healthy I am pleased to say and fought well-good sport.
